Studio Talan was born from a simple belief: that the things we wear closest to our skin should carry meaning.

Founded by designer Svetlana, Studio Talan takes its name from the Russian word талан — pronounced tah-LAHN — an older, poetic word for luck, fortune, and the quiet sense of being guided by something unseen.

Historically, talan suggested more than chance. It carried the feeling of a blessed hand, a gift for finding one’s way, or the fortune one seeks in life. In old expression, to “seek one’s talan” was to seek one’s fortune.

Each scarf is designed with intention and printed on pure silk, conceived as something more than an accessory: an object of beauty to be worn, gifted, and kept.
