These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of this website and to all orders placed through Studio Talan at www.studiotalan.com. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

2. Our products

Studio Talan creates silk scarves and related accessories featuring original designs.

We make every effort to display product colours, details, scale and texture as accurately as possible. However, colours may vary slightly depending on your device, screen settings, lighting, and production process.

Product descriptions, images, prices and availability may be updated or changed at any time without notice.

 

3. Orders

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your basket.

After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation email. This does not mean that your order has been accepted. Acceptance takes place when we confirm dispatch, production, or fulfilment of your order.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order if:

  • the product is unavailable;
  • there is an error in the price or product description;
  • payment cannot be authorised;
  • we suspect fraud, misuse, or unauthorised activity;
  • we are unable to fulfil the order for reasons outside our control.

If we cancel your order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid.

 

4. Prices and payment

All prices are shown in GBP and/or localised currency.

Prices include VAT where applicable.

Delivery charges, taxes, duties or other applicable costs will be shown at checkout where possible before you complete your order.

Payment must be made in full at the time of order using the payment methods available at checkout.

 

5. Shipping and delivery

We aim to process and dispatch orders within the timeframes shown on our Shipping & Delivery page.

Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to production times, courier delays, customs processing, public holidays, strikes, adverse weather, or other circumstances outside our control.

If your order is delayed, we will do our best to keep you informed.

For international orders, you are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, handling fees, or local charges that may apply in your country.

 

6. Returns, exchanges and cancellations

Your rights to cancel or return an order depend on the type of product purchased and applicable consumer protection laws. For most online purchases in the UK, consumers have cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

Important note on made-to-order or personalised products:

Some items may be made to order or produced specifically after your purchase. If a product is personalised, customised, or made to your specification, cancellation rights may be limited where permitted by law. This will be stated clearly on the product page where applicable.

 

7. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us at customerservice@studiotalan.com as soon as possible, including your order number and clear photographs of the issue. Please see our Returns & Exchanges Policy for full details.

We will review the issue and, where appropriate, offer a replacement, repair, refund, or other remedy in line with your statutory rights.

 

8. Intellectual property

 

All intellectual property rights in this website and in Studio Talan products belong to Studio Talan, J T Bear Enterprises Limited, or our licensors.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • scarf designs;
  • prints, patterns, motifs and artwork;
  • product names;
  • photographs and videos;
  • website text and copy;
  • logos, brand names and visual identity;
  • packaging, labels and marketing materials;
  • layout, styling and creative direction.

 

All Studio Talan designs are original creative works. They may be protected by copyright, design rights, trade marks and other intellectual property laws. The UK Intellectual Property Office is the official UK body responsible for IP rights including copyright, designs and trade marks. UK business guidance also notes that intellectual property can include website content, trading names, logos, taglines, packaging, branding, product names, photographs and designs with a unique visual appearance.

 

You may not copy, reproduce, adapt, distribute, publish, sell, licence, manufacture, print, use commercially, or create derivative works from any Studio Talan design, image, text, logo, product, pattern, motif, artwork or other content without our prior written permission.

 

Purchasing a Studio Talan product gives you ownership of the physical item only. It does not transfer any copyright, design right, trade mark right, licence, or other intellectual property right in the design or artwork.

 

You may not use Studio Talan designs or imagery for commercial purposes, including but not limited to:

  • creating competing products;
  • printing the designs on other items;
  • using the designs in fabric, wallpaper, stationery, digital products, packaging or artwork;
  • using product images for resale or marketing without permission;
  • copying or imitating the designs for commercial sale.

 

You may share images of Studio Talan products for personal, editorial, or social media purposes, provided that Studio Talan is clearly credited and the images are not altered, misrepresented, or used in a misleading or commercial way.

 

We reserve all rights and may take action against any unauthorised use, copying, reproduction, imitation, or infringement of our intellectual property.

 

9. User content and social media

If you tag Studio Talan, mention us, or share content featuring our products on social media, you grant us permission to repost or share that content on our website, social media channels, email marketing, or other brand communications, with credit where reasonably possible. We will not claim ownership of your content. If you would like us to remove content you have shared, please contact us at customerservice@studiotalan.com.

 

10. Website use

You agree not to use this website:

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
